About the event

Guest Speakers:

Jim Chappell - Chair Board of Trustees Fort Mason Center

Rick Laubscher - President Market Street Railway

Message from Guest Speakers:

Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture, like many Marina residents, would benefit from increased transit connections to downtown. In partnership with the Market Street Railway, Fort Mason is in discussions with the Municipal Transportation Agency to accelerate the extension of the E-Line/F-Line to the foot of Van Ness and ultimately through the tunnel into Fort Mason. Tying this project to Van Ness Bus Rapid Transit, to the rebuild of the Municipal Pier, to the National Park Service's redesign of the National Maritime Historical Park, and to the Bicycle Coalition's proposed pedway/bikeway around Black Point would benefit both residents and visitors alike. Fort Mason staff and board will present a brief slideshow, and seek input from members of the Marina Community Association. - Jim Chappell
